AFTER 14 YEARS AT THE HELM, SPENCER COMPLETES TENURE WITH BBA

The Bermuda Basketball Association International Affairs Committee (IAC) has announced that Coach Roderick Spencer has declined the invitation to continue as Head Coach of the Senior Men’s National Team Programme, thus vacating the position.
Coach Spencer held the position since 2002. Throughout the years, he has shown unconditional commitment and dedication towards the Men’s National Team Programme.
He has recruited, trained and motivated many of Bermuda’s best players into becoming top performers on the International playing courts. He has had tremendous coaching success in 6 Island Games tournaments, has coached in 2 CBC Championship tournaments, and has been involved with the Men’s National Team Programme in numerous other tournaments and basketball events over the years.
Via a press statement, the BBA Executive Committee, thanked Spencer for the sacrifice and passion that he has shown in his 14 years of service as National Team Head Coach: “The IAC accepts Coach Spencer’s best wishes to the Men’s National Team Programme going forward, and we in turn, wish him the best of success in all of his future challenges and endeavors.”
